Default rebuilt motor i think machine shop screwed me over

hey wat up. i juts had my motor rebuilt by a machine shop around me. its a b17 block with a b16 head all new internals block bored .50 over with je srp pistions 10.5-1 compression. now the idl is up at 1800 rpms i messed wit the idle screw didnt change anything. the screw is all the way down and idl droped to like 1600. also i thought all hondas had the same firing order wicj is 1234 from the right to the left. the machine shop said its 1243 i never heard of that. also the valves are tapping the head gasket is leaking rite on the front pass side corner and im hearing like a whirling sound like he never replaced the bearing. its coming from the driver side but from the head. and its also popping so bad that my hood kinda lifts up wen it pops. so idk wat to do besides go there and argue with the guy any advice or anything or any ammunition for wen i go and talk to the dude ok thanks peaxe

firing order 1342

sounds like they didnt adjust the valve lash for you (which is typical machine shop ****)

and they torqued down the head gasket wrong take that back

and they might have fucked up puttting the bearings in all in all not a great motor builder

^^ Exactly, not his problem.

it was running right when you took it to them. There's no reason it's not their fault for it running like *** now. Unless you've had it out of the shop for a few weeks before it started having problems.

If it sounds like it's backfiring or popping they're in the wrong order.

23
14 - That's the order on the cap

If you're looking at your motor with your knees on the front bumper match those numbers with the cylinders in this order.

4 3 2 1

That's the correct order.

I didn't list the firing order, I listed the number matching he should use to get the plugs in the right place.

That's how it is in my brother's gsr, runs like a champ.

firing order is 1342 on honda engine, and the spark plug wire on the cap should follow the same regardless of where it start. just crank the engine to tdc and take off the cap, you should find where the rotor point to is the first spark plug wire you should put it in. just follow the order 1342 then you should be good. if that doesnt start, your cam timing should be off a teeth or two.

Essentially 1243 and 1342 are the same plug positions, it's just how you look at the rotation direction. But with respect to firing order, 1342 is correct because the dizzy rotor spins clockwise.

Thusly:
(2nd) 3 4 (3rd)
(1st) 1 2 (4th)

i just think he should just take his car to someone who know what is going on to fix it, since he doesnt seem to be very familiar with engine work. honda is not a difficult car to work on, i would assume any mechanic shop will do it without any problem.
