installed a new dizzy on a 87 crx 1500 carb motor. and i get power from the coil and to the dizzy but i get no spark comin out of the rotor. so im guessing the new dizzy has a defective igniter?? some insight would be helpful. i need to get this car running again, advice appreciated

I would have said to check your ground wires. What was the problem?

 

okay got the pm... will reply soon... the replacement dizzy i got had only one terminal inlet for the two wires on the igniter. where as the oem one had two. you could choose to run it from behind the igniter or in front. oem ran it from behind and had the wires different lengths so you couldn't mix them up. the aftermarket one when installed there was only one way, in front on the ignitor. making the wires go on backwards when hooked up. to fix that i reversed the wires and it fired right up. im curious if anyone else has had this problem lol.
