I'm thinking about paying less tax to the DMV but...
Ok so here's what you do... you ask the person who's selling it to you if they'll write it down as a gift... or as if you worked it off. if they'll do that then you'll pay no tax (or basic state tax of like 75$ or whatever) and you can tell the insurance whatever you want... the insurance is going to go off of blue book if you total it or get it stolen, so what you tell them isn't a big deal.

In Cali, it has to be a gift from an immediate family. This is a bad topic...I know it will be lock soon.

ha ha no ****.. anyway.. just ask them if they'll hook you up by saying you worked for it or if you're not in cali then have them say it's a gift.

i would suggest deleting this post and also making some changes to your photo host aswell. and remember this is an open forum you never know who is watching. and in california it has to be a relative for the gift to properly go through. do they check? well you never know until its too late. and yes you will have to sign a document stating which relative it came from. good luck.
i think there are other more hidden ways of saving money. dont you think??? your 26 years old, lets start acting like an adult one of these days.
