In cali, that would be about 130 or so. The ticket that they send you in the mail will state 280+, but you just show up to the courthouse, plead no contest and the judge will usually reduce your fine. (Unless you want a court date to contend)
Traffic school also sucks... A whole Sat wasted sitting in a classroom...

29 over in richmond on 295 costed me $150 i believe.
24 over on route 33 north was $130.
you can call the court house and the clerk will tell you the exact ammount. just give her your case number. show up to the court date though. i know when i went the judge dropped it to 15 over just because i showed up and said yes i was speeding and the officer was professional about everything. the judge seems to like that. good luck, richmond court aint bad.

hey man, call that number on the ticket and it should be automated... they'll read all the codes out, match yours up and they give the cost.
here in 757, york co., my 51 in a 35 (residential) was 54$ processing plus 7$ per mile over.
so (7x16)+54 = 166$.
but instead of just sending the money i went to the courthouse, and they only asked me for 130$

The sucky part is that your going to get points, and when your insurance finds out (might be a year later) it's going to cost you 20 to 30 more a month.
Hey out here in cali they have Photo Radar. They Send your *** a Picture of your car along with a 300.00 fine.
They got it in AZ too, Running red lights etc...
The most expensive picture you will ever take!

Hell NO MAN!!!!!!! always go to the court. the judge will normally drop the costs and the speed dramatically.

geez, wreckless driving? what was it a school zone or something?
my 24 over was $192.50 and 4 points on my license. we get a max of 15 in 24 months before suspension.

no its not wreckless its one under. i was a few over wreckless but the officer was a good guy and said he would drop it down. i have already taken driving school once this year so i cant take it again for two years, so i doubt the judge would be easy on me since i have one wreckless ticket. so i figure just paying it will be easier. my mom was nice enough to offer to pay it since im at school and not working anymore.
here in SC i did 52 in a 35 and got a $72.25 plus a seatbelt ticket, anyway, it really depends on a lot of stuff, i think the cops can pretty much give you the ticket for however much you want, i got a ticket for $252 in myrtle beach just for reving my engine, i also got a $50 ticket for doing 60 in a 45, it's all a matter of who the cop is and how polite and respectful you are to them IMO
holy **** i thought i should share this.... im driving to school yesterday and some **** head in a rust bucket POS truck cut me off by seriously like 2 feet..... he runs a red light and i stop at it. i decide to catch up to this ******* kid ( he goes to my school) to see who it was. anyways, i was doing about 70 in a 25 and see a cop about 50 feet ahead clocking people so i pull my e-brake (so my brake lights dont come on) and i pass him doing just shy of 45mph. he pulls out and turns on his lights and im thinking " oh great im fucked" and i pull over and he starts to pull up behind me and then gasses it, goes around me and pulls over the ****** in the truck who cut me off, ran the red light, and was speeding
holy **** i was scared... 70 in a 25 is not good. im never speeding ever again.

i got a 17 over in SC. the trooper was in a Z28! talk about being inconspicuous... but he was pretty nice and said if i showed up to court he would reduce it from $150 to $50 and under 10 mph over.

similar ticket in CA (60 in a 40, bs coz it's all straight downhill with no turnoffs but anyway), cost me $190+$25 for traffic school.
BTW que lude, traffic school is available online too bro. Takes less than an hour. http://www.hometrafficschool.com or something like that.
Good luck.
oh yes....

I hope you are more cautious, and not just because you may get a huge ticket. You were doing 70 in a 25? That's incredibly reckless; not to mention using the hand brake at that speed. What are you trying to do, spin out?
Use more common sense on the roads. If you find you can't control your temper, pull over and take a breather rather than let your rage get the best of you.
