Thanks for the help so far guys

so far I:
Removed inside door panel and plastic
unbolted outside door handle
released locking mechanism hook

How do I remove the door latch bar?
just pry it apart?

you might have to take the door panel off to get at it, and unkook the door lock latch.

 

its not that hard, just take off the door panel, remove some of the inside plastic seal and unbolt the handle. after that unhook the locking mec. and door latch release bar. then just put together in reverse, the most it can take is 1/2 hour. i did this a few months ago and the only hard part was sealing the plastic back up with clear tape. not hard at all

so I got the door panel off, and unbolted the outside door handle ...

But I can't seem to unhook the locking mechanism and door latch release bar ..
How would I do this? Just force it apart?

ok, i unhooked the locking mechanism, but i cant get the door latch release bar off
do i just pry it out? or is there a special way to do it?

bump.. how do i take off the door release bar?

 

pop the handle to the outside of the vehicle so its hanging by the rod only, then twist it off of the lock rod. is this what youre talking about ? pics would be helpful

i'll try to take pics, but my gf has to upload it when she gets home and i'd rather finish this now

i unhooked the locking mechanism bar, but i can't seem to get the door handle completely out. is tehre something else i have to unhook on the locking mechanism? or just that one bar?
