Default For those grinding, or thinking about replacing synchro's.

I've been using Honda MTF from the very start yet this is the second time my 3rd gear assembly is crunching. I guess I can't shift for nuts. Very good illustration nonetheless. Cheers!

All work was covered under warranty.
The 5th gear syncro assembly and reverse idler gear were replaced.

I've always used Honda MTF, however after some hard driving to the expo I found out that my 5th gear synchro also is junk. Oh well it's covered under warrenty, I figure now is a good time to put in a clutch.

wut??? it's under warranty??? my local dealer (i.e. Burrard Acura for those who know where it is) said that it's NOT covered by warranty... and they want to charge me $500? or something to replace that!!!!
****... i guess i should try another dealer...

You should try another dealer.
Make sure you explain the problem as being gradual.
Ask lot’s of questions as to what could cause such a thing.
They’ll hopefully comment on the poor quality of Honda synchro’s.
Then they’re trapped.

I switched over to a sythetic gear oil, and it has all but gone away, ACURA is tellin me two weeks until they can get it in so I had to do somethin as its my daily driver.
