Default TWM shift **** install problem HELP

i picked up a desert eagle shift **** off the ocho. im having trouble getting the nylon insert to thread into the **** itself. has anyone else had this problem? what did u do to get it to thread on? any help would be greatly appreciated.

what sucks is that i bought an s2000 shift **** literally immediately before i found the tmw, so i guess im goign to put that up for sale in the fs thread. oh well. HELP

and before anyone asks, it is threaded on straight. it just goes about 3 turns, then gets stuck. i tried turning it with a butter knife when it was off the **** and wouldnt budge. same thing when the nylon insert is on the shifter. just cant get it into the ****!

have you ever used "nylock" nuts before on anything? they are way harder to turn than a normal nut because of the nylon insert. It's supposed to feel pretty tight. Do you have the TWM metal plug where you want it inside the shift ****? because that determines how far the nylon insert will thread into the ****. You could always run the insert under some hot water to make it more flexable.

You should call TMW Performance directly and ask them, they have great customer service.
