How do i build to handle boost?
This is sort-of a continuence on my Turbo D16 or swap debate post... if i decide to Boost my D, what steps can i take to insure that my Z6 can handle 10psi daily and 15psi plus a 50 or 75 shot at the track? I was told to Sleeve and deck it, then get forged pistons and eagle rods... any opinions?
sleeved the block for one, aftermarket turbo pistons and rods, send the crank out to have it balanced/micropolished since its already out of the motor. new fuel pump depending on how much your boosting, size your injectors correctly so you dont starve the engine and some really good tune
Id also do cam shaft and gear, maybe replace the springs in ur motor, fuel pump, honda data or something of the sort, clutch and flywheel, id get a racing radiator and fan since ur boosting, probally need the room, and since ur juicin, help keep the heat down which will help keep your stuff in better conditon. and then pretty much what everyone else said to make it run safely.
