Alright so sometimes my speedometer works, and sometimes it doesnt, its all completely random. Depends what kind of day its having...
See the weird thing though....is when i press in that little stick on the cluster to reset the milleage...it sometimes shoots the speedometer up.... and makes it works, the harder i flick that little stick the better chance i have of making the speedometer work...

The past 2 weeks though, its acting completely weird....like its lazy or something...im driving 80km...its showing 80km...then slowly dropss ..... to 75...70...65...then BAM abck to 80.... like it doesnt have the energy to stay up lol...

Now this post is not a joke or anything, as dumb as it sounds probably...im being completely serious...and this is whats happening...

Would it be a problem with my speedsensor...or the cluster?
I am thinking cluster because....well when im going 80...it shows 80 (when its working of course)

but then again i dont know much about this stuff...

Try switching the VSS with another one.

 

What is a VSS ?

 

Vehicles Speed Sensor, located on the top, rear of the transmission.

 

I had the same problem awhile ago and it ended up being my speedo gauge. Replaced the VSS first though.

 

Yea check the VSS and if that doesn't solve the problem, get another gauge cluster. You should be able to find one on eBay for relatively cheap.
