Default Low Beams Out - Dimmer Switch?

So after a night out with the Mrs. we get in the civic to go home and abra cadabra, my low beams are out. Bright lights are all that are working, parking lights come on when lows should be. I changed the bulbs, so i know its not that. I have read about a recall, any info on that? How hard is it to change a dimmer switch? I am really trying to avoid a $12 part and $100 labor...Thanks

i'd check your headlight wire with a test light to see if its the switch or something else

is the dimmer switch located in the steering column? is it easy to replace if need be?

sounds exactly like my car twice last 2 months ago. Sadly both bulbs ended up burning out. I have since replaced both headlight bulbs and have worked perfectly since

Try looking at this: NHTSA 04V086000 http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/c...n=YES

A formal recall will be Honda's dime, not yours.
