Default MANUAL SWAP!

Im guessing it is going to take about a grand to get my Ex to a stick cuz I love my car interior and how it runs I wish someone would offer to trade me cars if they had a black accord stick cuz thats what I want and I dont wanna pay for a paint job so if you know then hit me up.

it'll take more than a grand man...cuz your looking at the tranny itself, clutch, flywheel, tranny mount, clutch pedal assembly, slave sylinder, clutch sylinder, tranny cables..etc etc etc..it'll prob cost you a grand or more just for parts not to mention if your going to pay someone to do it.

yea your right no one searches anymore...but its not going to cost exactly that everywhere you go...some places he may be able to get it all done for 500 bucks other places he might have to pay 3,000 it just depends on where you live and if you have plenty of junk yards around for me..I have 3 junk yards especially for hondas so its simple for me to get parts for cheap

True. The labor kills though. I'm having problems right now getting the damn thing started. Check my thread on key reprogramming if you don't mind. Maybe you could help me out some. It's a few topics down

well I guess the first thing I would do is go back and give them the new VIN number off the new ECU and see if that fixes the problem..hopefully so if not then i have no clue at all..thats very strange that everything is getting power but wont crank.

It is strange....but would the ECU prevent it from cranking since the key codes don't match at all?

my guess would be yes..but im not 100% on that..i mean ive never heard of this happening so I dont know..I could see that happening though..if the key codes dont match the ecu I dont think it would crank since its a totally different code

Do you think the keyfob has anything to do with it? It shouldn't since it only sends the key signal to the ECU, right? Or maybe it has to match too? It has me stumped as well as my tech....I have no idea...

I dont know that might have to match as well..ECU's are confusing lol...im not big on that stuff but my guess would be it might have to match as well I guess if the ecu pics up the codes arent the same then its not gonna start but like i said im not big on that stuff
