Default h22 DA Build -- the top of the top

Well it's summer time again and its time for a new project car.

Tthe car, 1991 integra LS.

Condition: ****

I'm giving the date of completion for my 19th birthday.. which is a little under 2 years from now. Next post will involve the plans.

Hopefully I will be making a write up of everything I do to it.. help some people along.. whatever

I'm also hoping I will get help from the community. I've been researching my build for about six months now.. it has changed a few times, and each time it changes for the better(more money, better parts, blah blah blah i think its worth it) I know for sure there are more knowledgeable people here, if I have something down that is just plain stupid (please don't come on here telling me I'm wasting my time) please share why, what would be an improvement and so on.

Only problem i'm worried about: Traction.. Will be explained in part 2

thanks

Man o man u got a long way to go. I have been trying to have a nice setup for a long time and let me tell you it takes years. I have an h2b setup and had my hatch since 03 and its still not done. But good luck to you. I hope you have a good paying job or there will be no way your setup will be done that soon.

I live at home, so I can pretty much spend money on whatever I want. I work 50 hours a week at $12/hour.. hopefully two years is enough time, if not oh well

if you work 50 hours a week and get paid 12 an hour you could get that thing done fast you get paid a lot more than me and ive had 2 DA's that were similar to that apperance and i completed both of them in a year and a half

I am having it painted within the next month here. Color will be Rockstar Red.

H22 is because I want to do a somewhat original swap and I am not a b series fan. only other option is a K20 and that is too much money

Budget $4,500'ish for the swap. That counts for H22+LSD tranny shipped from HMO, cluch/flywheel, axles, ESP mount kit / traction bar if you want that, and Rywire harness unless you do it yourself.

Have fun, makes a great driver

I've budgeted around $7,000 for engine work/swap essentials alone, another $2,500 for body and suspension

I am going to be starting from a bareblock at the end of the summer. Currently I am still working on stripping the engine bay and getting the car ready for paint. I'll try to get some updated pictures soon, the ones in the first post are from 7 months ago.

I doubt Ill have it done in the 2 years i'd like but, i'm not in a hurry. yet.

I was already planning on going thru ESP for my kit.

Mounts, header, traction bar, front and rear tower bars.

I will not be goin h2b because i already know the tires will spin too much with an H tranny

Who cares if it isn't a clean shell to begin with. He's 17. Fixing all of the stuff that is wrong with it is half the fun. A big to you. It looks like you are going to have a blast with it.

im glad someone around here is doing this... i love starting from crap and then bringing out the cars true colors to you man. the one thing that sucks about it is you end up spending a little more money to make it look nice inside and out but im glad you picked the h22 i have one and its great other then high mileage on it... what header you thinking about using?

I'm going to run the ESP header, from what i hear it flows very nicely, not to mention the ground clearance which is needed for this swap

yea those ESP headers look sick... im kinda concerned tho if they really make good power though. because they go from being small inlets in to big outlets at the cat which idk its just hard for me to understand why that really makes power.

Very nice! How's everything coming along with it?

Done any body work yet? Looked like you had your hands full with that along with the motor swap.

Body work begins July 1

Been putting in a lot of extra hours at work so I can get more time to work on it later on.
