So i adjusted my valves this past weekend. went thru step by step and they are still rattling. i pulled off the valve cover and went thru them all again and they were all with in spec. does anyone know if anything else could be causing this rattling in the valve train?

 

What head? Stock or aftermarket valvetrain?

Are you sure it is lower end knock???

Both me and my dad thought that I had a bad valve knock. It turned out to be a bad rod bearing. I found 2 pieces of it in the end ( but that still didn't account for the other half that got sliced up by driving on it!!).

 

You would have to be border line dumb not to be able to tell wheter its valve noise or rod knock... Way different noises. I can sure tell!

 

its def. the valves rattling, you would have to be retarded not to be able to tell between the two

 

does anyone know if timing could have anything to do with this?
