Where to begin.....

One day about 9 months ago, I'm working on my friend's Integra. Standard stuff, GSR swap and higher compression pistons, rings, etc. I'm simply amazed at how easy the stuff goes together and gets it running very quickly. Take it out, street tune a little on a chipped P28 and bam, ready to go.

Another friend's eg Civic hatch back blew up, and again, I am amazed at how easy it is to work on...how uncluttered the engine bay is even with a turbo in there. We rebuild the motor, install it and get it running in under a weekend too.

Granted, I used to be a domestic guy. I've owned domestic RWD car/jeep/motorcycle. But I couldn't believe how easy working on a swapped & 2871 turbo'd hatch was.

I think it was right about that moment I thought "I must get one of these to mess around with".

That began what I like to call my "Hondfatuation". I got a line on a relatively clean CX HB, and proceeded to get it and a complete USDM GSR swap. I've been daily driving it for about a few months and I really like it.

Right now, the car is on stock suspension but has a number of really nice parts added.

I have a stock top and bottom end, with bolt-ons:

Skunk 2 Pro Intake
DC-Sports Short Ram Intake
DC-Sports 4-1 Header
ACT 6-puck clutch (sprung)
M/T 22x8 full-race slicks on Lenso 13" wheels
Chipped P28 with USDM P72 basemap
Rev limiter upp'd (forget exactly what we set it to, but it's up over 8K)

Yesterday, some of us went out to Norwalk, OH for a "track day". I figured that a track day would be a good way to learn how to drive this hatch, get many, many runs in and figure out what works and what doesn't work.

I made the following pass yesterday with a full tank of gas, full interior, 15 PSI in the slicks, unbolted exhaust (header dump). I launched it on the rev limiter and it hooked up very well (Norwalk sure knows how to prep a track for these track days?)

That should have been a 13.99 or better. I burped the rev limiter one time in 2-3 shift on that run.

Then I broke a driver's side axle on the next pass (right on the launch, SNAP!), so we swapped in a new axle and took off the slicks for the rest of the day, as I had no extra axles for that side.

If it wasn't for this site, this car wouldn't be what it is now. This site has been a HUGE resource, thanks for everything that is posted here!

Future plans include GT3582R, larger injectors, nitrous/CO2 halo & intercooler, BOV, WG, DP, and a whole bunch of suspension work (It's sloppy right now!).

Sounds like you've had a good time with it.

not a bad run for an N/a gsr i guess.

This really doesn't have a technical question, belongs in GDD
