Taxes coming back!!! Car makes me mad!!
So, just after I mailed my returns, I pulled my car in the shop. Bought an eBay Stage 1 Racing Clutch w/ lightweight flywheel for a '95 HONDA EX COUPE.
Heard a nasty knock in motor!! Decided to strip the motor down. Good thing I did!!
Cyl. 4 rod bearing was in pieces!! So now I need my crank machined, the rods machined, and a bunch of other CRAP!!!
Any suggestions?? I have the ability to get a 1.5, and I have a spare vTec head. Should I make a mini me??? If so, how difficult??
Otherwise, should I keep the displacement from my 1.6?? Any suggestions?? I'm kinda new to Honda's, and it would be easier to ask the pro's.
Thanx guys!

Well, a mini-me setup isn't that hard to complete, its just finding the parts to make it work
But, if you have a decent amount of money to work with, and your willing to do some labor yourself...You should swap the whole thing out and buy a b16a
But, it is a good thing you checked the knock out as soon as you heard it
Good luck with whatever happens

I do all my own werk on cars, I just really don't think I'll switch it out to a b16 yet. To much werk, and I don't know anybody who can help me out. I will just stick with the simpler stuff for right now. Good suggestion, but I know that I'm not getting that much back from taxes! LOL

Ok, well if your willing to just save a little here and there, (if you do decide to get a mini-me) I think if you turbo it, it will be a good setup

I dunno if I will make the mini me motor. I kinda just want to rebuild the d16z6 motor. I just don't know if there is a difference in power. It might just be better to re-do my original motor. Make sure I can run mid 15's and still get 40+ mpg!! That is all my goal is. My old slowest Saturn still ran 15.736 in the 1/4 mile. I just want it to be better than that. Beyond that, I really don't need anything. Cartest 2000 projects an approx. 1/4 mile at 15.65 seconds, which I would love!!

Good news!!!!!!!!!!
I found a block for a non-vTec that the guy is practically GIVING away!!! It is a complete motor and auto tranny, with alternator (which my voltage regulator is bad anyways) and I guess the intake manifold!!!!
Asking price for all this you ask?? A whopping $30!!!!!!
