Fluctuating Idle when hot
My car idles fine when it is cold and driven normally (street) but after being on track it has an idle fluctuation and check engine light. It will almost die then rev up again. But it runs fine even with this issue. If I shut it off for a bit it idles fine again. It doesn't always do it either, but seems related to how much 'cool down' I am able to do before pulling in. I think it is heat related.
I searched and found some possibly causes to check out: O2, Vacuum, EACV, TPS, Plugs, Timing, MAP sensor.
I am very limited in what I can do easily. The car is stored at a lot, not street legal, and my mechanic is an hour tow away. Plus, I won't even know if I fixed the problem until I hit the track again! So my question is, given the heat as the probable cause - which items are most likely? (BTW, if it IS timing - I will just live with it since it has been dialed in already) TIA!
