Idle issue.
I have to many little projects going on and I think I am currently stuck on this one, so any help will be appreciated.
Ok, I recently just finished replacing a d15b7 in a eg. When starting the car, the engine idles at about 1500-2000 or so rpm. If I let the car warm up, the idle does not drop like it should. I have tryed adjusting the idle screw and checked the timing, but I cant get it to drop. However if I unplug the vacuum hose from the map sensor that connects to the IM, the car will idle normally. When I put the hose back on, the idle jumps back up.
My questions are, is this a problem with the map sensor or possible the TPS? The car has been sitting for a while, (6+ months bought it with a blown engine), could bad gas be causing problmes? Anyone have anything else I should check out or do? I would like to get this problem taken care of as soon as possible so I can get this car back on the road. The Engine is completely stock, there are currently no mods done to this car, so I think that should limit the possible causes. If any addition info is needed just ask. Thanks

Re: (CHK4TIX)
Ok, I did adjust the idle control valve, yet the car continues to stay in "fast idle." Here is a strange question, currently I have the exhaust from a vx on the car. would the placement of the cat compared to the normal civic exhaust cause problems? When I check th ecu codes the only code i get is for the O2 sensor (which is unpluged currently)

Re: (hondanut)
Not yet, I took of the IACV cleaned that out which was REALLY dirty but the problem is still there. I still need to pull of the fast idle valve to clean that out. I just havent had time to do that yet.

Re: (hondanut)
take off the air intake off the throttle body and start the car, there is a hole before the butterfly put your finger over the hole if the idle evens out you need a new iacv.
