Default getting transmission off of engine

hey guys i know i've seen this before but i couldn't find it searching.

i just took out my motor and i can't get the tranny off the engine. is it hondabonded on?

i've done this a few times and this one is the only one that won't come off.
it's also the only tranny that was put on by honda.

i know it doesn't matter but it's a b16a

any help would be great.

You sure you got that one bolt on the other side of the bellhousing out? It took me a few minutes to figure out why mine wouldnt come off the first time.

yeah everything is unbolted.
i checked a few times, it seems stuck. does honda put some honda bond in there?
i gave up for the night, i'll be back out there tomorrow trying to get the damn thing off.

it's funny cause of all the "hard" things to do when pulling an engine, they all went easy. now this happens.

there is no hondabond between the bell housing and the block. It should move freely. Try to crack it open with a screwdriver, if not look for a third time for bolts. I thought i had them all off, but there are a couple that are hard to see.

yeah the starter is off.

i'm gonna try to get a small chisel to separate the housing from the block.
too dark to try tonight, but i'll be back at it tomorrow. i really need this apart.
the motor has been in the car, not running for the last 3 years.
now i've got some money put away to rebuild / fix up the motor.
can't wait, hope to have it running again in a month. first i gotta get the damn tranny off.

i have an idea...
i'm gonna put one of the bolts back in and tap it with a hammer (lightly) to see if it comes apart.
if that doesn't work i'm breaking out the plasma cutter

Some times you just need to sleep on it. I have had similar issues with various things knowing full well i did everything correctly but its still not working or coming apart...getting frustrated and throwing **** i go inside and go to bed...next morning it works or comes apart like it should.
