Default front wheels inner edge of tire rub

hey, I searched the archives but couldn't find someone with the same unique problem.

first of all, my car is lowered on kyb agx (set to 2) and eibach sportlines, my wheels are sort of a state of ridiculousness, cheap 18" motegi dp12's (that have a whole can of worms on there own with their stupid plastic hub centric rings - never again) and then the tire is a pirelli pzero nero 215, 35, r18.

anyways, I noticed this last winter, when I removed the tires for storage, that the Inside edge of my front two pirelli's were taking rub wear, it's NOT a camber issue, something bevels a nice (depending on whose side you're on) chamfer out of the inside edge, one pirelli was showing threads! after only about 20 000 miles of use.

Nothing rubs in straight ahead driving, but in a hard corner, under acceleration I have heard the "errr errr" of a rub, so I assume it's a rub at close to full deflection steering when the suspension is compressed.

what have others done to solve such a problem? would changing my kyb agx's to 1 (ultimately stiffening the front a bit) help out? or does it go beyond that where you have to modify the inner wheel well? my heart isn't too set on these 18's - i'll be going to a smaller rim size, but in the meantime? pzero's ain't cheap. My temp solution is cornering grandma style.

how do you mean? like does it pull to one side in a corner? no, just makes it's errr errr noises which I assume is shredding my inboard rubber.

otherwise it pulls like snot when you get on it haha.

whats the offset of the wheels? Could be rubbing the inner fender well.

Did you ever get an alignment? zero out the toe?

offset is +45, 18x7.5 rim, I've had two alignments since dropping the car about 2 years ago, and according to the latest printout I got from it, my left toe is 0.5mm, right is 0.4mm, which according to this printout is within the specs (-1.2mm to 1.2mm)

get underneath your car and take a look. if the tire is rubbing that bad, there will be evidence of what it was rubbing against.

yea i'd like to jack the car, and the tire at the same time at a full deflection steer and see what comes closest... I did my front brakes this friday, but it was sorta getting dark by the time I was finishing so I didn't spend too much time poking around.

I guess i'm more wondering what CAN be done, if it is rubbing the inner well somewhere? do people just grind the culprit part back? seems over the top for my cheap wheels haha.

I do alignments at my job and dropped vehicles dont conform to the specs on the computer system so camber could still be off ,measure the ride hight from the bottom of the tire to the wheel well and see if they could go with that when doing it

18" motegi dp12's.. u shuld get something smaller with a less offset.. like 16x7 with 35+ offsets or something.

yes that is the plan, but in the meantime ... kinda stuck with what I got.

quick Q tho, which companies manufacture wheels that fit the prelude WITHOUT hubcentric rings? or do all aftermarket rims come with those cheap plastic rings? do rota's for example?... I heard Oz's don't... but can anyone confirm or vouch for their brand of rim?
