Default obd2 to obd1

buying a 96 gsr shell and i have a jdm 94 motor and i want to stick with obd1, so im wondering if i can just buy jump harness on the ecu to run obd2 to obd1 without changing distributor and the fuel injectors....

the ecu conversion harness isn't going to affect what harness you have to use in the engine bay. i doubt a obd1 engine harness will work in an obd2 car (since the rest of the wiring will be obd2). it'll probably be easiest to just convert the motor to obd2.

yeah I have a obd2 dizzy and probably going to pick up a set of fuel injectors. I guess i have no choice but to run obd2.

the plugs that are on either side of the motor and chasis will connect in g3 integras no matter the obd version. you will have to run an obd1 ecu becuase the obd1 engine doesnt have the crank postioning sensor and soem other things but there is no need to convert the engine. if you try to use the obd2 ecu you will have a cel. i did this kid of thing but backwards, put an obd2 gsr motor in an obd1 gsr car. it plugged right up and runs perfect. there will be one extra 2 wire connector on the passenger side of the car that wont plug in though.

if you still wanna convert the engine you need the alt, and the cps as well. i have the injectors if you want them however i would put the motor in and get a obd1 conversion harness and use an obd1 ecu.

we did this on my 01 prelude and 99gsr (ls/vtec). you can use the same dizzy and everything just buy a conversion harness from skunk2. you dont have to change injetors either. But to make your car run proper you have to get the ecu tuned.

So are you saying that the shock tower plugs on the OBD2 integra will plug into the obd1 wire harness from the H22?? The obd1 H22 uses an injector resistor box what do you do about this??

you sure about that? the in-car wiring is obviously different between obd1 and 2, or you wouldn't need the ecu jumper harness to convert. i bet the shock tower plugs would plug in together, but i'm not too sure that the wires will be correctly matched.

no, that's not what he was saying. i really doubt prelude and integra engine wiring is interchangeable since they're completely differnet cars.

no im just talkin bout runnin a diff. obd ecu you with another obd engine. And yeah resistors boxes were put in h22. not talkin about about b and h series being interchangable. talkin about two different set ups not a sawp from those two cars.
