Check Engine Light on 95
Is there anyway i can take the CEL bulb out on my 95 ex to get it inspected or something....and then put it back in after....or does the code 13 throw the ecu into "limp mode" and it wont pass inspection.
You can remove the bulb, but a malfunction code will still pop up. Don't know how the inspections go with OBD1 cars, and how they check for anything.
what do you mean the malfunction code will still pop up..they dont check the ecu in the inspectino do they...i am getting a code 13 - Barometric Atomespheric Pressure Sensor, which i am told is inside the ecu. is this all correct. will the code 13 throw the inspection (texas laws) system off and cause it to fail or will it not affect it.

it means just by taking the bulb out doesnt mean you've fixed the problem. You should try the ecm reset procedure and see if the code comes back. basically you'd be clearing the code and seeing whether or not you actually have a problem or if its just an intermittent problem.

is the ecm reset procedure unplugging the battery and taking the ecu fuse out...because if it is i did that and the code came back on after 10 min or so of driving..thats why i was wanting to turn the light off jsut to get it inspected...after that i dont care if it stays on..as long as it doesnt rob me of power...keep in mind its code 13 - Barometric Atomspheric Pressure Sensor...so does it rob me of power or not.
no unplug your back-up (7.5 A) fuse from your under-hood fuse box for 10 seconds with the key off. as for power, i dont think it will take anything from you. but the only way to fix it if it is an actual problem is to replace your ecm/ecu whatever you wana call it.
