My b16a smokes once it warms up and recently has become considerably worse. It has been throwing a CEL ever since the swap. Is this a valvetrain or ring issue? Thanks.

 

What is the code? What color is the smoke?

 

Could be a number of things, we need more information. Does it smoke just at idle? Does it smoke when you get on it? Does it smoke after you touch the gas after a decel? More info.

 

I haven't checked the code. i know theres a way to do it with a paper clip, but I didn't know. It smokes a little when idling, then much heavier when I touch the gas. It's white smoke, and it's been using a considerable amount of oil.

 

Ouch.. sounds like HG or blowby.. probably HG

 

have you checked the manifold pressure!!!!!!!
