Default front and rear swaybar

hello,

i was wondering if i should get the front and rear swaybar fixed? everytime i go over a bump or go into reverse the car makes a funny noise. i took it into honda and they spotted the problem. it is going to cost approx $320 to fix both. should i get it done?

i'd imagine you'd want the sound gone, right? if so, you might want to have this repair done.

i doubt the sway bar would be making noise, might be your shocks?

replace both rear swaybar links
(noisey/worn) $158.46

i think they're not gonna replace the sway bars, it's only a linkage that worn out, you have to go for it. it's worth to have that repair.

If that's what they're replacing, you might as well do it yourself. Plus, you could upgrade to a nice Progressive set of sway bars, and they should come with endlinks. If not King Motorsports sells Function7 endlinks.

weird, i've never seen those fail under normal driving, i'm sure your sway bar is fine and all they are replacing is the endlinks, NOT worth $300.

if you have a 14mm wrench and some time, you can tackle this on your own, new endlinks are probably $40-50. but i still don't see why they'd make any noises...

I still think you should do it yourself. That kind of job is way too easy, to get ripped off for.

we insist you try it on your own, heck, we'll even walk you through it, it's REALLY easy. (remove 2 bolts, to get end links out, do it 4x - 2 endlinks per sway bar.)

i'd even take pics to help you out, $330 is a lot to pay for something you can do in an hour or two...

btw - you must hit those speed bumps at 20mph or so, lol.

I bent my rear sway bar having fun in the mountains when I first lowered my car.I got the rear Progress 22mm and subframe brace. It did not come with endlinks but I have an ex,there is an option for it though. My stock exhuast rattles on it .I think I am going to just wrap alittle header tape on it to stop it.

It's as easy as any typical bolt-on. You'll only need about an hour or so, to do the whole thing.

If you want some really good advice.......take your time......dont try to rush, and make sure that you dont get pissed off if something does not line up right the first time......IT ALWAYS HAPPENS.But if you do rush and mess up something, your best friend will be a ((tap and diy set)I think that is what its called). It lets you rethread the hole and the screws if you F**K it up.I have used them before and it is a life saver.

guarantee you will strip the endlink hexkey socket trying to get your stock endlinks off, had to cut the bolts off on mine. The rear if you do get the Progress kit, with the rear tie bar, your most likely gonna have to align the LCA so the bolt goes through...which is a bitch to do by urself, for 160 id def get hotchkis endlinks...they are awesome...just make sure you dont install the bar upside down...as for the front your gonna need to drop the cat
