Default b16a2 and b18c1...

Is there huge noticable difference between the two?? i know that the GSR has about 10lb of torque and HP...but wen it comes down to drag will it be a huge difference with the b18c1 goin against b16a2??

I wouldn't say a huge difference, but yes, there is a difference.

Drivers with equal ability I would say the B18 will still win. B16 lacks the torque!

If you are choosing between these two, go with the B18c1 if you can afford it.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't te B18c1 have around 17 lbs more than the B16? 110lbs vs 127lbs?

I had a B16 in my CRX and it felt just like my ZC until Vtec kicked in. I did the IHE and it wasn't much of a change. My friend has an 91 Si with a B18C-GSR and a B16 tranny. It was a pretty good difference IMO.

Gsr swap will take a b16 swap by a length or two any day of the week.

Although the B18C is by no means a torque monster, it still has a noticeable difference over the b16 and should be stronger all around. In the end you will most likely be happier with a GSR motor. Also my brother's GSR(B18C1) dynoed at 134 ft/lbs tq with only i/h/e and b16 head with type r cams, manifold, and tb. No B16 with minor modifications is gonna come close to those torque numbers.

B16a2- 160hp and 112or113tq
B18c1- 170hp and 127tq
