what to swapp?!?! b18c1 or b16a2??
i know the b18c1 is more sought after then the b16 and also more powerful by 15horses but is it better to use the money to do more work on the b16? ive heard good things about both please post yoor opinions and advice thanks

The B18C1 will kick the B16A to the curb.
I've had both and the B18C1 always oupulled the B16A2.
Torque makes a big difference.

i'll second that. anyone who has driven both will tell you, a GSR swap will outperform a b16 swap every time.

The b18c1 all the way, forget the horsepower and look at the torque. Power isn't used if it cant be transfered. The b18c1 can also be a good all motor car with ct-r internals to raise the compression. I know for a fact that a b18c1 against a b16a2 with similar mods wil win hands down cause i've dragged in both cars. If you got the money than go for the b18c1, if you don't then go for the b16a2 and try to change the crank pulley to a better aftermarket one.

I have a B16A2 with cams, gears, ecu, ect. ect. It put down 170 hp at the wheels, revs to hell, but still has no torque. I want to upgrade to a B18c bottom end because torque ownz!!

Thus far 19 people have commented and 18 of them said to get the B18C1 and only 1 noob has voted for the B16A2. And you still have to do a search? If you still were gonna go and do a search why in the hell did you even ask?

It all depends on budget and what you plan on doin. I have a 98 civic dx and I am going to get a b16a2. Save money on swap and get a turbo, which will give me the needed torque. It would be nice to afford both the b18c1 and turbo but it all about money.

i have a 4dr with a b18c and i've beaten 3 hatches with b16's. I beat them by atleast 2 cars. Just incase this helps with your decision. But get the c5 if you can
