well im not really worried about the map sensor its the iacv, ever since i boosted my car, it idles a lil bit higher when its cold and when it warms up it idles normal for a second ad then it surges from 850rpm up to 1500rpm and goes back and forth, i took off the iacv cleaned it like 5 times, it still does the same thing
also i dont have a check engine light code that lights up, but my ecu still flashes for the iacv, i have used two diff ones and cleaned them many times

make sure you have the correct connector plugged into the EACV - it is a 2-wire connector with blue/yellow and black/yellow wires
probably the map is off...i had this same problem with my car got a new map and the problem was fixed. Maybe the map is busted due to boosting. How much psi are you running? if nothing else get a 2.5 map...also, any vacuum leaks?
I had a problem like that a while ago but all I did to fix it was pull the IACV off and clean it out with carb cleaner.

im gonna go check the plugs make sure the right one is plugged in, but im pretty sure i have the right one...also o2 sensor is only 6 months old, and i runnin between 5 ad 8 psi, dont know exactly, its a stock turbo off one of the old thunderbird turbo coupe''s..... and also if it was a vaccum leak wouldnt it do the surging right when i start it up? not wait till it warms up?
I had this same surging if its in about 2-3 second intervals, I found out I had a leak in between my TB and IM the gasket didn't fully seal, I fixed the leak and the surging stopped.
but check map as well just try to borrow someone elses and test

well i dont have a fitv, just iacv, and i just ordered a new tb gasket will be in monday, but will try some rtv gasket maker for now, thanks for everyones input will update later
ok changed tb gasket..wasnt it..think i found my problem..think my turbo has bad bearings, sounds like its getting stuck and then unstuck, like its almost stalling the motor then its like its coming undone and back to life... ay input?
be careful when mine was surging my dad was like it sounds like its getting stopped by the top of exhaust manifold "approximately same area" but it wasn't...did you try spraying the IM and TB with brake cleaner or carb choke...it ill lyk if you have a leak fast. gl keep up the updates
ok problem partially solved, for some reason my turbo shaft was partially seized up. and was bogging my motor down at idle, and when i give it gas it spools up, so i put my header back on it runs much better, but i was still gettin a code for the iacv, so i ordered a new one and it will hopefully be here some time next week, but thanks all for your input
