Default oem head unit: cd options

I am rebuilding a 92 sedan. I want to put my spare head unit in. Its the stock radio/tape player and it has buttons for cd. What are my options for having a cd without having to replace the oem unit? I believe the oem setup allows for a cd changer but could you go with an aftermarket brand? Does this head unit allow one to use the Honda single cd player that would go in the optional audio console? If so could I use any year bc it seems like the one from this generation is tough to get. Sorry for the book of questions, but thats how I get down. I need to know facts, not guesses okay...TIA

That would be a Circuit Hero shifter extender. It allows the shifter to be closer to the steering wheel for road racing/auto x.
