JDM H22 Overheating. NEED HELP ASAP
i Just finished my JDM H22 swap, and my car has been overheating very badly. I've noticed that the electruic fans don't come on at all. I just swapped over from the H23 and converted to a manual transmission at the same time. I'll notice a drastic power loss in the low range (would never rev too high in this kind of situation) and then ill see smoke come from under the hood, and the coolant in the overflow tank is boiling. When it cools down onviously i need to refill the coolant. I have checked the fuses. What does the fan control module look like and where is it located? i need to double check that i didnt pull it out on accidetn mistaking it for the TCM. Please help me i don't want to destroy this investment, by being retarded
1. Make sure the fans are wired correctly. (Do either of them work with the AC on?)
2. Make sure the coolant system is drained, flushed, filled, bled properly.
3. Does the waterpump/thermostat work? (Can you feel the warmth on the rad hose after it opens?)
4. Did you switch over, umm, ECT Switch B? (Sensor on the head where the upper rad house goes into?) I forgot too last year when i did my swap...
5. Are you using your stock harness? What ecu are you using?
6. Any CELs?
Last year after my swap (just like urs, h23 auto to h22 manual) I had really bad overheating problems. After doing all kinds of crazy ****, it ended up being a small crack on one of the rad hoses that leaked enough to kill my pressure.
Anyways, good luck.

thanks for the help. I am using the JDM H22a ecu.
I am coding for IAT sensor. thought i fexed the problem, guess not though
thermostat does open enough to let water in the block
dp i need to swich ect switch B? i just used the one on the JDM motor, and i switced the part on the JDM motor where the other ECT switch is, so i had something to plug into the H23 harness. Neither fans work when A/C is on. There is a black box next to the ecu. Is that the TCM? or the Fan control module
