Icon3 Need help ASAP WITH COOLING ?

I have a delsol with a b16a motor jdm. When I turn my car on and drive for like 5-10 minutes my car starts to overheat. I don't know if it's thermostat, fan, fan relay or switch.

My car is at my work and I NEED to get it home to check these problems. It's about 30 min drive give or take. Now my question is

To stop it from over heating can I take out my thermostat so I can drive it home for 30 minutes? Basically letting the coolant run unrestricted.

When I get home I will be able to check all cooling components but I need to get it home and a tow is not possible.

If any one can tell me if this is safe for a quick 30 min drive or if I can make it home I need to know ASAP!!!

Did you check whether coolant was low in the radiator?

Thermostats usually fail in the open position, so it's unlikely that is your problem.

Well after u make sure ur water level is full and u don't have any air bubbles in the system then u can let the car idle for 15-20 mins then the fan should kick on. If it does then there is a possibility u have a blown head gasket and/or a warpped head.

Don't say you need help ASAP then. People hurry to respond to you so you can log on at your leisure......... You clearly didn't need help ASAP ***. Don't call me a baby.... even babies know how a cooling system works you pathetic tool. I bet you don't even know how to change a tire.

ASAP means three hours then?.... ok

It might take a while, but here's how I suggest getting home if you absolutely can't get towed... Make sure you're topped off with coolant/water and the heat is on full blast and start driving. As soon as the car passes the middle temp reading, pull over and shut it off. Wait 15 minutes. Repeat until you get home.
