Why are you down-grading from a D16 to a D15B7 (the shittiest D series of them all!)

itll fit..i have a d15b7 block and kept te vtec head off my d16z6..if your heads in good condition it should add about 30-40 hp over the stock d15 numbers...(mine dyno'd at 142hp) but with a brand new b7 block. hope that helps

I'd rather have a b7 than a z1.

WTF? 142hp on a SOHC VTEC 1.6L... aka Mini-Me in your case. LOL how'd that happen.

btw the d15b8 is actually the shittest d-series motor.. 8 valve 70hp then you go to the D-series in the HF crx which also sucks the same level.

Yes, you're right.

I knew it was one or the other. They both suck

if by easy you mean very little customizing, yes. i don't know what your experience with swaping motors is, but if you have done it sucessfully a few times then it won't be hard. you just need to do your research and make sure you have all the parts you need such as the correct ecu, wire harness/harness adapter, and drivers side mount.

if you are doing it to have a good running motor and you have a b7 sitting around, make sure you do a good job getting the b7 into shape before you put it in so you will really have something worthwhile.

oh and the y7 head... yeah find out if it'll drop your compression or not before you do it but i would rather have a y7 head on there than a b7...

oh i see, thanks guys.. im downgrading because my d16y7 motor is blown!! the whole block is Effed up! like i mean theres a huge hole on the block, and i know this guy that is selling a d15b7 motor for mad cheap like 100 bucks, and i just need a motor to get me around for alittle bit, and than im going to upgrade to a fully rebuilt LS motor. So should i slap my d16y7 head on the d15b7 motor? and one last question, do i have to use my dizzy and other electrionic parts from my d16y7 to the d5b7? aight thanks guys once agian
