will a b17 head work on a b16 block?

yes you can put a ls head on a b16a block.. people do it all the time..
throw in a crx with 150 shot you got a cheap track car..
motor blows who cares you made it from scraps

I believe B16, B17 and Type-R all share the same head (Type-R has mild factory porting).

GSR is different than the rest. It will still bolt on, but your compression will change.

unless you dont have a head on the block.

you should put a b16 head on a b17 block. that might be a little more beneficial.

the gs-r heads are not interchangeable due to the dual butterfly in the intake manifolds.


also i think the b16a head has more compression then the b17

b16a,b17a,b18c5 are the same heads and then dont add more compression.
only the gsr(b18c1)will add .2 of compression
