What RPM level should i shift my 93 civic without over reving?

Default What RPM level should i shift my 93 civic without over reving?

I jus got my license and bought my car. I have a 93 honda civic si hatchback. At what RPM's should i shift without over reving

normal driving you don't need to go above 2500-4000rpm if your trying to bam gears then **** a little before the redline, im assuming you have a tach in your car.

6100 if you're racing... 3-4000rpms everyday driving

since your a child, i would shift at 10,000 for starters. If your still alive in a week, then do the normal 3-4k, you need to get it out of your system early.

If you're even a half decent driver you should be able to tell whn to shift. Even without a tach.

Feel the rpms go up and when you stat to lose power you shift, it's easy to tell when you're at the end of a gear.

Unnecessary redlining FTL.

I do man, but every time you post it seems you're bashing on a newb or bashing on a ricer, or bashing on someone's taste, engine choice, part choice etc etc.

I would say since your a new driver with a honda.. dont go above 4k or your ***** will fall off. LOL I actually really reccommend to not push your luck i had 4 tickets before I was 18 and I have learned my lesson.. keep it on the track.
