aftermarket header brands?
have a 2000 prelude w/auto. im in the process of starting to mod it. nothing serious yet, just the basic intake/exhaust. can anyone recommend me a header brand design and which would be most benefitial, ie-4-2-1 or 4-1 style.
thanks in advance guys

im gonna side with cottonwodd since his post numbers are high and he's been a member since 02 ^_^
i dont think i can afford a hondata right now for a tuned ecu. not enough mods to get one tuned yet since its basically stock. i want to run my brother who has a 98 GTP, or at least keep up with him. he told me his car traps 102mph but only mustered a 13.8ET due to a bad 60'.

No clue what they stand for. DC is basically a stock replacement that looks fancier. You need to do a 2.5" collector mod for it to realy do anything useful other than average 3-4 hp. Mugen is good, and expensive but so are the 2 I named.

That one is fron a B16. Gimme a lil bit while I find one with the H22 since this is obviously the Prelude section.
Edit: While searching for the dyno sheet, I found this:

Hope it helps as far as the whole header search itself is concerned.

I like my GReddy with the mod. I owned a DC a while ago on my accord wasn't too happy with it. I have heard good things from Meagen and Mugen! But I like my GReddy
ok thanks cottonwood for the realistic stand-point lol. si-speed sorry if im being a jerk. i just want to do my research before going out and buying a header from some seller on ebay >_>. any links to the ones u listed si-speed?
yea i do hear megan-racing a few times from a couple of my friends. i think megan-racing arent too expensive as say mugen.
the GTP from what i remember has a tuned ECU, 3.4"pulley, ported exhaust mannies, 2.5" exhaust, and a fuel management system

Ya they are pretty expensive. Like I said I love my GReddy mod and like stated in about the same thread for a guy deciding to do exhaust and tranny upgrades, the GREddy shouldn't break your ***** too bad. But there is probably something else cheaper out there. I just LOVE my GReddy

Megan is basically the same thing as DC, at half the price. That's what I have. Since the H23 really has an exhaust mainfold, rather than a header, I have a little more gain over what an H22 would get but still, it's all 2" which is stock. But if you just want something that isn't stock, Megan is the way to go. For the price, I was very impressed with the construction of it. I've had it about 3 months now and no problems.
