Default Need some help with suspension

I'm kind of new to this, but a buddy of mine told me that this place could help me out.

I'm currently running with Koni Yellows and Eibach Sport springs, and there great for handling and cornering, but since I've been getting older I wanted a more comfortable ride for the commuting. But still have the cornering and handling.

I have been considering Koni reds with the Eibach Pro Springs, since I do live in the city and don't want my baby to be scrapping the pavement. Which I have done.

Please, could you guys give me any insight on this issue.

Thanks

i would recommend tein basics or change up to tein springs, but i've heard the springs tend to sag.

Sounds like you're on the right track with the Eibach Pro springs. You could probably still use your yellow Koni's if they're still good. Besides, they're rebuildable.

Pro-Kits still ride as stiff as Sportlines IMO. I think your best bet would be to get a full coilover system that allows you to adjust dampening and ride height.

Why the hell you people are sending him to coilovers for a comfy ride just boggles the mind.
Coilovers, linear springs in general are silly rough, as there's no progressive coil to suck up undulations and minor imperfections in the road.

keep the Koni yellows, they're the best shocks you can buy for the car by far, turn them a 1/4 turn from full soft, then put stock springs back on the car. the car will still handle, if you still want improved handling, you'll have to deal with some rough ride.
Stock shocks border on being underdamped.

Yea, don't get coilovers if you want a comfy ride. I don't care how 'comfy' anyone thinks their coilovers are, they can never be as comfy as a progressive drop spring.

I had coilovers first. Yea they were fun and the car handeled great, but as time went on I found that the ride beat the crap outta me. Before my daughter was born, I switched to Tockico D-Specs/Neuspeed Sportlines and the ride is now comfortable but still sporty.
