Default H23 from the ground up... RECOMMENDATIONS?

Hey guys. I got a little extra money and instead of fixing all the stupid little problems with my H23 i figured i would just build a new one from the ground up. I was going to just start off with a good block and start from there, in the end i would like to have a strong high reving reliable engine which will probably see a turbo in its future. What do you recommend i start with first and which parts would be best. Remember im looking for the total package full engine but with an N/A build for now but turbo in the future. Thanks in advance

ring lands are the main thing that goes out on a h23.. so sleeve it and get some good pistons and rods..

i know i could just bolt up a turbo if i wanted... but im talking about more than 10 psi and still reliable.
O yea and does anyone know where to get lots of H23 parts cause for the most part all i see are parts for the H22... i know they are out there but just a pain to find

if you plan on turboing you should definetly sleeve the block while it's out, and drop in some forged components, ****, you might as well bore it too, you can always save your headwork for later

Sounds like you are already planning for some headaches and to waste a lot of money.

Don't build ANYTHING until you know EXACTLY what you want to do. Building an engine for NA goals....then swtiching to FI is not smart.

My advice; only build the engine when you have enough money and you know exactly what you want to do. Also, if FI is your goal, I would highly consider the F22/F23 Accord engines. They have iron blocks, are cheap, and don't need to be sleeved.

yea i was thinking it might be a pain switching to FI after the fact and a waste of money so i think i might just go straight for the FI... would the F22/F23 blocks be a better way in the end? or just cheaper? Im looking for moderate power but reliable nevermind price... so which is the best engine to use in my project while staying in the F or H series?

and depending on which engine is best.. depends on which parts i would look for. Forged parts, rods, pistons, and cams valves basically everything i will need

Check out the link in my sig. I have tons of H series set-ups on my site that may give you some insight as to what you need.
