Default A good price?

One of my Friends buddies is buying a car for his son. I'm not real sure if it's a good deal or not so I was wondering what your guys' experiences were.

This is what he said about it.

2001 Civic B17 I believe

80,xxx miles
Dual Stainless Exhaust
Fresh Paint
Lowered (supposedly air ride)
Headers
Exhaust

They are asking $9,000 for it.

Do you think it's worth it, set aside all your opinions. I don't like any of the mods and I would never purchase a car with those mods. Just with everything done to the car, is it worth it for $9 grand.

Also how hard is it to swap in something else into that car. Would a GSR, or B16 swap right in without fabrication?

7.5k is what I'd pay for it If I liked that chassis style.

Well, I'd say it's not a terrible price, but I've seen better.

Here's a little bit of facts for you, though:

1. It's a D17 (SOHC)
2. If it's got Air Ride's, the suspension will be quite soft, but not sporty at all. (Also height adjustable)
3. It's only got 1 header, since there's only one bank of pistons.
4. If it's got Dual Exhaust's, there's going to be a multitude of things the previous owner did wrong to it.
5. The ONLY way you can run a B-Series engine (any of them), is if it's a 2001 B18 out of an Integra. Even then, there is no company out there that supports the swap, so it'd have to be 100% custom. And, believe it or not, it'll be way more costly than a K-Series swap, for less of a performance gain.

^^ nice eye opener for me.

Ewww for teh Ep.

Dual exhaust? I agree. It's likely the rest of the mods were ill-informed and under-researched.
