Default b16a2 obd1 with obd0 ecu.. NEED HELP!

I just swapped a b16a2 into my 91 hf and gas is coming out of the ehaust. Would this be because i do not have the o2 sensor needed for the obd1? And can this be prevented by getting the ecu chipped to turn off that sensor? Help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

The simple answer is yes and yes. But you would be better off to just wire up the right o2 sensor if your engine is close to stock.

Well my engine isn't stock thats the thing and plus for me to wire the o2 sensor then wouldnt i have to get a conversion harness for the ecu to convert that to obd1?... But i have a guy that will tune and chip it for a hell of a good price so ill just go that way i believe but thanks man
