i just recently bought a 99 integra se/rs (it's a canadian teg), and i'm wondering if i can install keyless entry on it. theres no lock switch on the door, only a "hatch" switch to unlock that. but when you lock the driver door with the key it also locks the trunk, just not the passenger door. so im assuming theres something electric going on there, but it doesn't seem like i have power locks.

so i'm just wondering if i can have keyless entry of any kind installed, even for the driver side door? it's kind of a pain in the *** to have to constantly use the key.

any ideas? thanks

 

Yes you can, although I am surprised that it does not have central locking when it has a trunk lock.
Anyway, get the Audiovox PROPDL2B or 4B if you have a 4door, you can connect any alarm to it for key-less entry.

You can also just get a door lock actuator for each door and a pr of relay and control them with an alarm for key-less entry, but you will not have central locking, there is an advantage though only 2 wires, instead of 5, to get into the car from the doors. 94

 

so if i get that Audiovox PROPDL2B, that'll just give me power locks, and then i'd still need to get an alarm/keyless entry. right?

 

Yes the PROPDL2B is just the central power door lock system, and any alarm, remote-start, or just key-less entry unit can be connected to it for key-less entry.
If you are not installing an alarm, you can also get a key-entry from Audiovox. 94
