Just bought a 99 ex yesterday and want to paint the wheels black. Atleast until I can get something. What paints have worked for you and what has not?

well...i wouldn't touch them but if u really wanna do it then they're gonna chip if u just spray them w/ paint by themselves. i would scuff them down a little w/ 320/maybe 400 grit sand paper then use primer and then krylon or duplicolor wheel paint.

Thanks yeah it does. What kind of primer? The wheels are just a little rusted and worn I think it would look better painted black. Red body

 

i would just pick up some rustoleum at walmart or something.
