I broke my hood release latch a while back, but finally replaced it. The thing still will not pop the hood. Did the cable stretch or something?

It was never really easy to pop before it broke. It always felt hard to pull and that it was going to break.

 

Does your hood latch need to be adjusted?

 

Didn't know it was adjustable. Can you explain how to go about doing this.

 

You just loosten the bolts and move the latch around so that the finger on the hood is centered over the hole. If it's missaligned it can bind.
