Default Low oil press. warning light DIY

To start off i would greatly appriciate if people would not advice me on buying "REAL GAUGES " or not installing mechanical gauges sice they are DANGEROUS.

Now back to the topic ( Engine is b18c5 )

I am hooking up the mechanical oil press and water temp gauges, I was thinking about doing some DIY and installing low oil pressure and high temp warning lights. Now the switches
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs...16_-1

come with differenct PSI and temp settings, which setting should i get. I know that the stock low press comes out on 5psi?? And i also read that is is very low and the chances are that when the light comes on you might be already done.

So what PSI? 15 , 30 or 50 ??

Same goes to water temp switch..

Thanks for the input

Im running a 30PSI warning light but thats becuase my car is not going to be daily. If its a daily you should go for like a 18psi because idle is around 15-20 (not 5) and if you got the 30 itll be on all the time at a stop.

As for temp i would get something around 200-210. You want to be in the 170-190 range but not really over that.

If your running mech. gauges run stainless steel lines. I had the nylon line blow up when i had an oil mech. gauge. Let me tell you that wasnt fun to clean.

Thanks!!

What line are you running now? Did you convert it to AN?? Since the gauges with the nylon line ( like mine ) come with NPT 1/8.
