Clifford 3.5 rsx problems
well out of no where, my auto start stop working....on top of this, everytime when i disarm the alarm, it would say the shock sensor went off even though it didnt. the led right now is flashing 2 times even with the key in and driving. the weird part about the auto start is that it would go into the auto start mode but without actually cranking over the car. any help would be nice. thanks!

I never seen a brain and a remote go at the same time. When you replaced the battery the control lost the icon? What about the brain? make sure the ground to the alarm brain is intact
well, when i change the battery, the icon is gone. i am not sure about the ground to the brain since i didnt install this.

i been had countless problems with this alarm. the guy who did the alarm is a friend's friend who does this for a living so i assume he knows what he is doing sicne he works for a reputable local shop. for a while already which i didnt really care is that is parking light flashing doesnt work and also the trunk sensor didnt work also. always had problems with the flashing sensor 1 icon when the alarm is armed also. the shock sensor itself for it to work is almost completely turn all the way up for it to be senstive
also when i reintall the battery, basiclly pay extra close attention saw the top portion of the remote icons went bye bye. so no hood icon, up numbers, the sending and reciving icons
Obviously that person installed it incorrectly. I mean, do I even have to say this? It didn't work after installed... hmm... yep, I think it was installed incorrectly.
Those icons are only going to pop up when they're used.

I have to agree, obviously he did something wrong, or your one of the growing number of people that got their DEI, [Clifford] alarms from an unauthorized Internet dealer, [at an amazingly low price] and are now going to understand the meaning of the quote, "you get what you pay for".

well, it been working for almost 2 years with little problems here and there, now it just went stupid. the icons that are not showing up no more is like when you put a new battery in and all the icons comes on along while the tune is being played. they did buy this from an authorized dealer too since i know the store he bought it from since i went and get a replacement remote after mines failed 2 days he installed it and was warrenty no question asked.
At the place I worked if it was less then a year old and you got it from us and had it installed at an authorized DEI dealer it is an over the counter exchange, actually we would fix the problem whatever it was at no cost and right away, except install related problems if we where not the authorized dealer that installed it.
If you got it at an authorized dealer, and it's less then 1 year old, but had it installed by anyone other then an authorized dealer, there would be an R&R charge, [unless you pull it yourself] and it would be sent to our DEI distributor, and they decide what they will cover and how long it will be, min. 10-15 days, some times almost overnight, if they just exchange it.
If the unit is over a year old, and installed at other then an authorized dealer, it's all on your dime, and there is no priority on it's repair and can take weeks.
Your getting it covered by warranty, so you may see a new or refurbed unit right away, definitely within that one/two week period.

the shop was going to do an over the counter exchange with me, but they didnt have the clifford 3.5 in stock so they got to send it in. they are for sure authorized dealer since they had called in to the DEi support center to ask a question that they couldnt answer for me before and heard them give a shop ID number. hopefully i can get it back asap and get my car a little bit more secure since i had my frotn end stripped at school while i was talking my last final at the end of last year.
