Default Adding a center channel.. how to?

exactly how the post says.

-how beneficial is adding a center channel?
-whats the best way to accomplish this; ie: amplifiers, type of driver, etc....
-how to go about tuning it, and what equipment needed for that

i have a set of jl xr653cs in front doors with midrange and tweet in each kick panel
run by a jl 300/4 on the front channels, rear channels unused and a 12w6v2d4 run by a jl 500/1 in a 95 2-door integra. premier p680mp headunit and no rear speakers.

my question, would it be good to add a center channel and how could i?
i was thinking of running it off the rear channel of the 300/4 but i dont know how to go about it or if thats even a good idea.

please help! thanks

first your going to need a source to seperate the music info, like a dsp processor or this http://www.pioneerelectronics....onent

The sound is great if hooked up right. But its up to you if your going to spend this much time in your car. I went this route and loved it. It really brings the movie out to you. I in the process of taking it out of one car and tossing it into my other car. Hell there even people with 7.1. I been toying with the ideal

center channels haven't really been used since the early 90s when it comes to 2 channel, but if you really want to, you can maybe look around for an old audiocontrol esp-3.

here's a helpful link: http://www.termpro.com/articles/center.html

for 2 channel its pointless. for surround sound i'll go against everyone and say they're not worth the trouble. if you have a strong front stage with great imaging and with the center info properly routed to the left and rights you wouldnt notice a difference.
