Default Side Marker Lights

I wanted to get the sidemarker lights for my car. But i needed to kno where they were supposed to be mounted? Like if anyone has a picture of where they go on the front fender? And if there is any kind of marking on the back of the fender where i can tell where there supposed to go? And where should i wire them up to? And what should i use to cut thru the fender and mount them without ruining the whole fender? If anyone has done this before and could tell me how to do it i would really appreciate it.

no there is no marking on the back of the fender. you have to find yourself a way to make a template. I used a die grinder fitted with a cutter wheel to get the bulk of the hole cut out, then used a dremel to grind the hole to size. After that i filed down the rough edges and touched them up with paint to prevent rust. here are a couple links for location and other various info on what to do with them.

or you can go to passwordjdm.com and buy fenders that already have the holes in them. then go to your local body shop to have them sprayed.

Just wanted to add how mine are wired up:

For those who want their sidemarkers to stay on with the parking lots and blink when the signal is on[while the other s tays on]

Sidemarker
Power Wire : splice into Parking Lights Power(corner lights that don't blink)
Ground Wire: splice into Bumper Signal Power(acts as a ground when off)

voila!

Thats a setup for keeping the side markers on while lights are on, which is fine. If you can not figure out which wires are which, simply splice into the rear factory side markers.
If you only want them to blink, and not stay on with the blinker off, splice right into the bumper signal.

i think from the factory, theyre supposed to be off until turn signals are used. much like VWs, Audis, BMWs and the S2000. thats how mine are wired.

yes, thats how they are wired from the factory. But Bonh was just giving him the option of having them on all them time and flashing when the turn signal is on. There has been discussion before on how they are supposed to be wired. its in one of the earlier threads i posted.

I've got mine wired up constant on/blink w/ turn signal, so it's worked out for me. It's kept idiots from running into me. Oh well.
