94-97 JDM Accord Sidemarker Help
Hey guys, my friend has a 97 Accord that he's been working for a while now...He recently purchased some sidemarkers and I told him I would do help with the install, but I needed the template first.

Does anybody have the measurements, or a template of where these go exactly? If anybody has a link or can help me out, I appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hey man, I've just finished reading all of your thread! (funny i finished reading it and came back to check on this thread and you replied) awesome work, I wish I had the skill and patience to do that to my ride...anyways I saw that you eyeballed it?
I have been comparing to other pictures in the internet, but since I had found templates for Civics, Integras and even CB Accords, I thought there was a template available for the CD chassis. You should really make one since you got it pretty damn perfect
lol, Im sure a lot of people would be able to use it in the future. Thanks again man, and good luck with your car.

I looked at some Sir Accords in the internet, and they all seemed to have the light over the same area (whether they had side moldings or shaved).
The photo below shows pretty much the "spot" where they are supposed to go!

You need to cut the fenders a little smaller than the light itself, because the side markers have their own "stay" so to speak.
Notice how I've cut the hole actually smaller than the marker outlining.

Goes on easily, fit one side first, and press down the other end.

To remove the markers, fit a flat head screwdriver to the small gap on the edge of the marker to remove it (it works like a little spring, and that's how it stays on the fender!)

Yeah, that looks sweet! I have installed a few sidemarkers before(DA integras, EF/EK civics, CB accords) so I know that the hole needs to be smaller and that it sort of clips into the fender. But I have never done a set of sidemarkers on a CD Accord! and I dont want to do it wrong lol, or in the wrong place!
Thanks man! I appreciate the luv!
Roughlly, where the fender groove (right above where the moldings go) line is located, if you measure it, and find the very middle of it, the same distance of it's half from the middle of the line up will be where the bottom of the marker is located. The middle of the light also matches half of the distance of it's center to the edge as the "groove" of the fender.
Damn... he hhe... i guess that sounds complicated... I should draw that.

okay I understood the first part....this I dont really get:
(The middle of the light also matches half of the distance of it's center to the edge as the "groove" of the fender)
Also, when you say "bootom of the marker" are you talking about as if the whole sidemarker was traced on the fender, or just the cutout hole.

oh man, thanks a LOT, I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out bro. I got it now, I'll post pics in a few days when I actually install these.
This should go into the F.A.Q's or something, I know I'm not the only one who needs this

do you have a template for the sidemarkers? i need a template so that i can throw them on the fender.. if u do ill appreciate it. if not its kewl. ive been looking for one all day and nothing...
what you mean huge? if you can send it that will be awesome... is it through email or what? my email is liltroublemakerpimp@yahoo.com
Just trace the lights on top of the fender, and cut them slightly smaller, specially at the sides, because you want to leave space for the light "stay" and it's little spring to install and remove it.
