Default Hazard Switch.

Hey whats up guys. I have a '95 Civic Hatch CX and I cant figure out why my hazard lights dont light up when i press the switch. If the switch is engaged i cant use my turn signals. when the switch is off my turn signals work fine.

any info would be greatful. thanks in advance guys.

i have the same problme. i dont need hazards tho cuz my car dont break down ya see???... just keep flipping yur turn signals left and right untill u kome to a stop.

Yeah i see. I just want it to work. i guess im just a little **** about those little things.

Sounds like you wont be able to let others know when you have won the race.


Sounds like a fuse to me.

Something's wrong with the switch itself. When you remove the switch, your turn signals also won't work.

well this is a switch from my coupe. it worked in my coupe.
do you knoW what fuse it could be?

The pinout might be different. Check a manual and then get one from a hatch at a bone yard.

the circuit isnt being completed, try another switch, check ur fuses. let me know if that helps

checked fuses. still no go. dont have anyone with an EG so i'll have to check if its my switch some other time.

same parts #'s. Sounds like bad switch or wiring issue @ the connector. Most likely the first one.

what do you mean by same parts #'s . . . im gonnna check my switch as soon as my friend gets back from vacation. most likely saturday

not to sound like a noob. but what fuse would that be. can't find it on the diagram for under dash.

Bub, go here:

and download the 92-95 civic manual. Check the electrical section and you'll find it in there on how to debug that hazard switch. If you can't follow the manual then you shouldn't be posting here. Bring it to a mechanic.
