thats what people always say but a gnarly turbo cam has profiles like an all motor cam. if you run a nice blower with a good amount of boost you can make good use of a bigger cam. i beleive you want a cam with alot of duration and little overlap

why dont you get some cam gears so you can dial out some overlap and run those skunk 2 cams

JDogg and I have actually tried this on the dyno with different cams and a supercharged motor.

Boost cams don't have a lot of duration, they just have a lot of lift, duration at .050 is similar to GSR intake and ITR exhaust, which is what you want for a boosted motor.

Dialing out overlap with high-duration NA cams causes other problems. Don't use them for boost, they suck at it. If you've got some S2S2 cams, then sell them to a N/A person and buy something better for boost.

gsr in. itr ex. or just gsr's or itr's. Listen to us, we have tried these combinations.

Look at the specs:

CAMS______________Lift (I/E)_________DURATION (I/E)

GSR___________________.423/.378______________236/224

GSR-I/ITR-E :___________.423/.416______________236/232

Skunk 2 Turbo 1:_________.409/.394_____________223/227

Skunk 2 Turbo 2:_________.433/.417_____________231/236

Crower Stage 2 Turbo_____.466/.445_____________233/235

Now look at some N/A cam specs:

S2S2___________________.485/.466_____________266/262

S2Pro2_________________.504/.473______________270/276

Buddy Club Spec III Plus___.449/.465_____________296/290

Do you see the difference?

I think that almost $600 is a bit pricey for a set of cams that's so close to the GSR/ITR combo. I like the specs on the Crowers, but I don't know if they would be appropriate for a B16 and they do have a lot more lift than any stock cam, so I don't know about using an OEM valvetrain with them (Crower recommends against it).
