Default engine problem

I have an 01 Honda Accord EX-L automatic with a 2.3L V-Tech. Ive noticed that when im stopped at a stop light for a little while, in gear, my engine all of a sudden revs and i start to pull forward even though im on the breaks (i dont put that much pressure on the break pedal but enough to keep the car stopped). What should I do?

You should read this thread. It's got almost all the stuff you need to check out for a surging idle. Except that in 2001 you don't have a FITV. The function of the FITV is built into your AICV. Read all of it, including way down the 2nd page about setting your base idle & letting your ECU re-learn.
