issue with PasswordJDM PC Intake
i think i may have found the only problem with the PasswordJDM Power Chamber Intake...atleast im hoping its the intake and not my car...but whenever it rains...even if there arent any puddles anywhere it seems like the intake sucks in water...cause whenever i try to drive in the rain (heavy rain that is) my car bogs down, refuses to accelerate and then the CEL blinks and then comes on...has anyone else had this problem??
oh and i stopped and pulled over to see if the filter was wet or anything and there was a nasty smoke coming out from either the intake manifold where the intake hooks up to..or it was coming from something underneath..im pretty sure it wasnt anything electrical cause everything is fine..i think it was more of like a steam, water burning off of something.
not sure about this cause i know my car doesnt have one...should the car have a splash guard on the bottom cause im quite sure it doesnt

Sounds like you shouldn't use that intake lol. Usually there are splash guards on the bottom of the vehicle attached to the front bumper cover, if that's the area you're talking about.
I have a fake whale ***** intake and haven't ever had any problems. I even have an aem v2 cold air with no fender lining and have never had any problems...but I took it off for ease of mind.

oh im definitely missing splash guards...and actually just realized it even though i do my own oil changes and never realized it's not there...but it usually only does it when its raining hard...and here in NJ it was just the monsoon season for the last 2 days so it did it almost immediately...guess il try the splash guard theory..was looking into getting one anyway, well an after market one made of aluminum..lol almost like a skid plate
