Default abnormal tire wear on falken ziex ze512

ok, these falken ziex ze 512 tires are showing very abnormal wear with less than 1000 miles on them. when i bought the car, the tires had about 200 miles on them and were pretty much perfect.

i have since put about 3 tanks worth of mileage on them including about 150 spirited miles on mountain roads. i never burnout and even on the mountain roads, the tires never screeched.

but i was washing my car yesterday and was appalled by the wear on them. i know these are shitty all season tires, that i would never buy mind you, but they are supposed to last very long.

i am running on natural camber which explains some of the inner wear but there should be no reason for the insane outer wear. the tires are literally peeling in some areas and cracking in others.

i should mention that the rear tires are perfectly fine. i got new brembo rotors and axxis ultimate pads put on today and rotated the front tires to the back.

they are coming off of my car in a few days when my yokohama avs es100s come. i am going to raise my car slightly and get an alignment but i need to make sure that this kind of wear does not happen to the new tires.

i ordered the yokohamas from discounttiredirect.com after they called and said that my original order of kumho spt were out of stock. basically during the call, the guy jeff kept trying to push bfgoodrich gforce sports which are junk.

but anyways, any input on the wear would be helpful at this point.

did you get an aligment after suspension work?

even new wheels/tires can cause misaligment

yep that has to be the problem...well looks like you have postive camber, and the usual case that i've seen for that is not getting a alignment. I'd throw on a camber kit.

It could also be the toe. In either case, an alignment is a good idea, the sooner the better.

I think its toe. Toe can wear your tires down faster then camber can!

if it were positive camber, then the inner wear couldnt be explained. actually im certain that all four are running natural negative camber so the wear must be toe.

thanks for your responses. ill get an alignment on my new set of tires and wheels.
